    Renee J. Plato is senior vice president, Digital Distribution at Univision Communications Inc., the leading media company serving Hispanic America. Mrs. Plato oversees the distribution of all the Company’s digital services including the newly launched UVideos Digital Network, genre-specific broadband channels, and the expansion of the Company’s content portfolio across all platforms in partnership with its existing and new distributors.

     

    She previously served as vice president of Digital Distribution for ABC, Disney & ESPN Media Networks.  In that role, Mrs. Plato oversaw the growing multi-platform distribution efforts of The Walt Disney Company and ESPN media network properties including ABC, ABC News, Disney Channel, Disney XD, ABC Family, ESPN and ESPN3.  She was responsible for distribution of the networks and network products across MVPD IP based platforms such as broadband, electronic sell through, ITV, VOD, SVOD, Over the Top applications and new emerging technologies.

     

    Prior to her role at The Walt Disney Company, Mrs. Plato was the senior director of Business Development at Sony’s Global Digital Distribution Group in New York where she was responsible for distribution strategies across the Sony connected device ecosystem in addition to distribution through third party partnerships in the digital and mobile space.  Mrs. Plato also served as the director of Digital and Mobile Business Development at Universal Music Group in Toronto, Canada.

     

    She lives in Westport, Connecticut with her husband where she enjoys outdoor activities such as competitive sailing and golf.
